Listening
Music League App
A group of our friends introduced us to the App Music League, which you play with friends and submit various songs based on prompts each week then you blind vote on everyone’s submissions. It is super fun and it has introduced me to new to me artists, so while I don’t have a specific artist this month, this app is my choice.
Reading
The Book of Lost and Found by Lucy Folley
Mom life has reinvigorated my love for listening to books. With so much time in the car or at home, it is so nice to be able to “read”. This year, I am trying to expand what I read, so I joined a book club, and the first book we read was Lucy Folley’s The Book of Lost and Found. I don’t normally gravitate towards fiction so it was fun to have this one as the first book of the year. It was a bit slow at first but got into it about 1/4 through and was fun to chat about the character’s motivations, relationship dynamics, missing info, etc with the book club. I would recommend this one!
Watching
Shrinking on Apple TV
Okay… I have not been as into a show in awhile as much as I have been into Shrinking on Apple TV. It is from the writers/producers of Ted Lasso (Bill Lawrence and Christa Miller, who produced Scrubs, being some of them), which I just recently heard this podcast with them and loved him). I love all the characters, its funny, its endearing, it tackles real issues people deal with but in an approachable way – and I laugh out loud. AND Harrison Ford is in it, so need I say more?
